Main Purpose:
Enable the regional and local country finance managers to effectively manage the various regional & local taxes across the entire tax lifecycle in accordance with the Group’s global tax policies and tax risk management framework.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
- Tax reporting & accounting & tax compliance (direct & indirect taxes).
- Tax support to regional business and operations, regulatory watch and lobbying, local tax planning, regional & local mergers & acquisitions, effective tax rate management, monitoring & management of regional advisory costs & relationships.
- Provide support to the Group Tax department in tax optimization and tax risk management.
- Management of regional (direct & indirect) tax working capital and reduction thereof where appropriate.
- Implementation of central transfer pricing policy at regional level and preparation of local transfer pricing documentation
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
- At least 10 years’ experience in corporation tax (advisory & accounting)
- Knowledge of and experience with regional mid- & downstream oil and energy business ( & exposure to excise/customs + incoterm management) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of an experience with local tax structure and environments
Skills:
- High potential profile
- Team player with ability to deal & communicate effectively with non-tax persons
- Strong verbal and written communication & presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex information
- Exposure to a multinational environment and a good acumen for business
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Experience with ERP & Accounting tools & international commerce and customs systems
- Computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, )
- Analytical skills
